By downloading or using useBrief, you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain language.
useBrief grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on macOS devices that you own or control. You may not redistribute, sell, sublicense, or modify the application or its assets.
useBrief is currently free to download and use. We may introduce paid features or a subscription in the future. If we do, the core functionality you rely on today will remain accessible, and you will be given clear notice before any changes take effect.
Everything you create in useBrief — session cards, notes, templates — belongs to you. We have no access to it. You are responsible for backing up your own data.
useBrief is a personal productivity tool. You agree not to use it in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations. Because useBrief is local-only, there is no server-side content to moderate, but we reserve the right to revoke licenses for users found to be distributing modified or pirated copies of the app.
We may release updates that change, add, or remove features. We'll communicate significant changes in release notes. Continued use of useBrief after an update constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
useBrief is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of bugs. Use useBrief at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, useBrief and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with those laws.
